Tata Nexon Facelift Spotted Testing Ahead Of India Launch: Spy Pics & Details
The Tata Nexon facelift has been spotted ahead of its expected launch early next year. While spy pics show a heavily camouflaged unit, they do reveal some details about the all-new Tata Nexon.
The spy images taken by Sarthak Shewale/ Facebook reveal that the Tata Nexon facelift has an all new front fascia that includes a redesigned front bumper, a redesigned bonnet, and an all new headlamp cluster. The SUV will also feature new L-shaped LED daytime running lights.
Spy pics of the Tata Nexon facelift also reveal that the SUV will feature a single slat grille, and new air-dam designs. While there is limited information about the design of the interior of the vehicle, Tata will definitely bring new upholstery to the Nexon facelift.
Other changes to the interiors could include new a new touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, better designed storage spaces, two-zone climate control, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Tata Motors is likely to offer the new Nexon facelift with a BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Expect that the engines will continue to be mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and an automatic as well. We expect the Nexon facelift models to be priced between Rs 7.5 lakh and Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The current generation Tata Nexon is available in 12 petrol and 12 diesel variants. Petrol models feature a 1.2-litre engine that produces 108bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual and an AMT unit.
The diesel models feature a 1.5-litre engine that produces 108bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. The Tata Nexon is currently priced between Rs 6.58 lakh and Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Thoughts About The Spy Pics
Well, the facelift looks much better than the current generation Nexon for sure, but that's the case with all facelift models. What we really want to see are the interiors of the vehicle. Considering Tata is planning to launch the Altroz premium hatchback soon, we expect the Nexon facelift to feature more creature comforts.
