Renault Triber Sales Crosses 10,000 Units Mark: New Sales Milestone Achieved Within 2 Months
Renault Triber MPV launched in India two months back. The Triber is a completely new product from the French car brand in the Indian market. Since its launch, the sub-4 metre MPV has been received extremely well in the country.
Now, two months after the launch of the MPV in India, Renault has announced that the Triber has achieved a new sales milestone in India.
The Renault Triber sales in India has crossed 10,000 units within the first two months. The success of the Triber in the Indian market has also allowed Renault to post significant growth in India.
For the month of October 2019, Renault registered a growth of 63% in the Indian market; compared to the same month last year. This significant growth is made even more impressive as it comes at a time of a complete slowdown faced by the auto industry.
The success of the Renault Triber is mainly due to its competitive price tag, along with the host of features and equipment it comes packed with. With a starting price of Rs 4.95 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi); the Renault Triber competes not only against other MPVs but also other B-segment hatchbacks.
This includes the likes of the Maruti Swift, Ford Figo and the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS. Being a seven-seater compact-MPV, the Renault Triber comes across as a more value-for-money than other hatchbacks.
The car also comes packed with a host of features and equipment, further making it a more attractive offering in the price range.
Some of the standard features on the Renault Triber include LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, push-button start/stop and a digital instrument cluster; among a host of others.
In terms of powertrain, the Renault Triber comes powered by a single 1.0-litre BS-IV compliant petrol engine. It produces 70bhp and 90Nm of peak torque, mated to a standard five-speed manual gearbox. Renault has also confirmed an AMT automatic transmission variant for the Triber, which is expected to go on sale by early-2020.
We recently got a chance to drive the new Renault Triber recently. Here is our first-drive review of the sub-4 metre MPV, explaining its design, interiors, features and performance — read our review here.
Thoughts On The Renault Triber Sales Milestone
The Renault Triber has been received extremely well in the Indian market. The MPV which had its global premiere in India, back in June has helped the French brand to get back on track in the Indian market. Renault hopes to continue this success of the Triber going forward as well.
