Renault Triber Sales September 2019: Registers 4,710 Units To Overtake Toyota Innova Crysta
Renault Triber sales is off to a good start in the Indian market. The company launched the Triber MPV in India back in August 2019, with September being its first full month of sales. The company has managed to receive a good response to the MPV in India, which is offered with a starting price of Rs 4.95 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Renault Triber has registered 4,710 units of sales in the month of September 2019. The Renault Triber sales have overtaken the likes of the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV in the Indian market.
The Toyota Innova Crysta is one of the most popular MPVs in India, bringing in consistent sales to the brand month-on-month. The Toyota Innova Crysta has lost out to the new Triber MPV in September falling short of around 500 units. The Innova Crysta registered 4,225 units as compared to the Triber's 4.710 last month.
The Renault Triber MPV is a compact-MPV offering from the French carmaker in India. The MPV is based on the same CMF-A platform as the entry-level Kwid hatchback. The Renault Triber comes in a seven-seater configuration, although the rear seats can be individually removed entirely whenever required.
The Renault Triber also carries forward a completely new design language. This makes it more attractive, upmarket and premium than most other offerings from the brand. The new Triber also comes with a host of features and equipment on the interiors as well.
The Renault Triber is powered by a single 1.0-litre petrol engine option, borrowed from the Renault Kwid. The engine produces the same 67bhp and 90Nm of torque; mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The engine on the Triber is currently BS-IV compliant, with the upgraded engine set to make its debut closer to the new emission norms deadline of April 2020. The company has also confirmed that an AMT version of the Triber will be introduced at a later stage as well.
The Toyota Innova, on the other hand, has been in the Indian market for almost a decade. The MPV has gone through a number of revisions over the years, making it one of the most trusted MPVs in the market today.
The Toyota Innova Crysta is the latest iteration of the MPV and is powered by three engine options: one petrol and two diesel. All variants of the Toyota Innova Crysta also come packed with a host of features and equipment, with the base trim being offered with a price tag of Rs 14.93 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Renault Triber sales in India for September has overtaken the popular Toyota Innova Crysta. The Renault Triber is now the second best-selling MPV in the Indian market, behind the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which has a commanding lead over the rest of the models in the MPV segment.
