New Car Launches In India During September: Here Is The List!

The automobile industry is fighting the recession it is witnessing in a number of ways. Manufacturers appear undeterred by the slump and are launching models at rather competitive prices, especially now that we're closer to the festive season.

August 2019 witnessed launches of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the Maruti Suzuki XL6, the Kia Seltos, and the new BMW 3-Series. Most manufacturers have had excellent booking numbers, a good sign for the industry.

September too has its fair share of launches and is shaping up to be an action packed month with the arrival of five new models. Audi, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Renault, and Tata have vehicles lined up for debuts and launches. Let's take a look at what they're offering.

Audi

The eighth-generation Audi A6 made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show this year and is expected to launch in September. The vehicle has been spotted while testing quite a few times. All engine options on the new Audi A6 feature a mild-hybrid system. The sedan will be available with three V6 engines.

Features on the all-new Audi A6 include full range navigation, two 8.6-inch infotainment screens, Audi connect, voice control, with top-of-the-line-models featuring a Bang & Oulfsen advanced sound system.

Hyundai

The all new Hyundai Elantra facelift has been spotted testing multiple times and is expected to launch in September. The vehicle is expected to feature BS-VI compliant 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engines.

The 2019 Hyundai Elantra will feature an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment stsytem wireless charging, autonomous braking, a lane departure warning system, and a blind spot monitoring system.

Maruti Suzuki

Update: The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has been launched in the Indian market. The new Maruti S-Presso mini-SUV is available with a starting price of Rs 3.69 lakh, ex-showroom —

Maruti Suzuki's biggest launch for the year is expected to the be the all-new S-Presso. The micro SUV that is built around the Concept Future S, features a new design language, offers higher ground clearance, and has tall pillars.

The S-Presso will be the first model from Maruti Suzuki to feature the company's BS-VI compliant 1.0-litre engine. The little car is expected to arrive with dual airbags, ABS and EBD, rear parking sensors, and a speeding alarm. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is scheduled for a 30 September launch.

Renault

Renault needs a win this time around and the company is banking on their best-selling hatchback, the Kwid. The facelift version is expected to make it's debut during September. The vehicle is expected to be offered with BS-VI compliant 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines.

The all new Renault Kwid will will feature a new front fascia resembling the K-ZE EV concept vehicle, while the interiors are expected to feature upgraded design elements and a set of new creature comforts.

Tata

Update: Tata Harrier Dark Edition launched in Indian market. The new Harrier Dark Edition is available with a starting price of Rs 16.76 lakh, ex-showroom —

The Tata Harrier Dark Edition is on September's cards as well. Black is a great addition to any SUV. The colour adds a certain attraction and aggression to the vehicle. The all-black SUV will be available in the XT and XZ trims.

The Harrier Dark Edition will continue to feature the 2.0-litre Kyrotec engine that produces 170bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. The vehicle features an all-black theme within the cabin, with the exception of the faux wood panel on the dashboard that is replaced with an easy-to-the-eye dark grey.

Thoughts About The September Debuts And Launches

Things seem to getting better with the auto industry. Five vehicles launching in a month during a slowdown say a lot. Manufacturers will no begin to push more launches with the festivities slated to start in September. We expect more manufactures to launch new products starting October 2019.
