MG Motor Launches Experience On Wheels Mobile Showroom
MG Motor India has just launched an experiential customer touch point called MG Experience On Wheels. What makes the touch point incredible is that it is a mobile showroom. The idea behind the MG Experience on Wheels is to redefine the retail automotive experience.
The mobile showroom is built from a 45-foot trailer, showcases an MG Hector, and offers a similar experience like other MG showrooms across the country. It showcases the brand's British heritage with focus on digital-led experiences.
MG's Experience on Wheels features an interactive digital terminal that allows visitors and prospective buyers to experience the Hector SUV, choose its accessories, and configure the car as well.
The company plans to engage customers across the country, especially at places where it does not have showrooms at the moment. The all new MG Experience on Wheels showroom will start a pan-India tour on 5 December, with the aim of targeting Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets across the country.
Mr Gaurav Gupta, the Chief Commercial Officer at MG Motor India, said "The latest on-ground campaign builds on our ‘Automotive Retail 2.0' proposition that leverages innovative digital tools to deliver engaging, immersive, and differentiated experiences to our customers."
"MG Experience on Wheels will help us expand our reach further and garner customer interest in markets where our showrooms are not yet present," he added.
MG Motor India recently launched a first-of-its-kind ‘car-less' showroom in Bangalore. This car-less showroom utilizes the same formula to enable experience-driven engagement in a unique, digitally-driven environment.
MG Motor India currently has a network of 150 centers in India, and aims to increase it to 250 by the end of the current financial year.
In related news, MG recently set up its first public charging station ahead of launching the much awaited MG ZS electric. The chargers can be accessed by an electric vehicle that is compatible with CCS/ CHADeMO charging standards, and by registering with Fortum Charge and Drive India via its smartphone application.
Thoughts About The MG Experience On Wheels
This is possibly one of the best things we've come across. We have seen manufacturers use smaller, open top vehicles for promotions and brand recognition campaigns, but driving a showroom from city to city is next level. Kudos to MG India for having done this.
