Maruti S-Presso Dual-Tone Paint Scheme Modified By Dealership: Check Out The Video Here!
Maruti launched the all new S-Presso mini SUV on 30 September and the little SUV has already gathered 5,006 bookings. Priced between Rs 3.69 lakh and Rs 4.91 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the car is available in solid colours only. A dealer has now customized a car with a dual paint scheme for a customer.
While the company does not offer dual-tone options for the S-Presso, a dealer customized the car for a customer who asked for a dual-tone paint scheme. The modifications have been made to a Solid Sizzle Orange vehicle.
The stock black bumper, the grille, and the air dam have been repainted to match the orange body colour. These changes bring a more sporty look to the mini SUV.
The OEM metallic wheels, the wheel arch cladding, the ORVMs, side cladding, and the roof have been finished in black. A, and B pillars also receive the black paint scheme, giving the illusion of a floating roof.
The rear bumper has also been repainted to match the body coloured orange, the features a black coloured horizontal strip across the boot lid.
There is no information if any modifications were done to the interiors of the vehicle, although it is highly unlikely. No changes have been made to the engine either. The dual-tone paint scheme that was executed at a dealer level cost the customer and additional Rs 15,000, excluding costs of accessories (if any).
The Maruti S-Presso is powered by a 998 cc, BS-VI compliant petrol engine that produces 67bhp of power and 90Nm to torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, and an (AGS) Auto Gear Shift unit.
The just-about-launched Maruti S-Presso features a the lightweight and agile Heartect Platform, dual-airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking assist sensor. The vehicle is currently available in six monotone colours - Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey and Metallic Silky Silver.
While this particular dealer has pulled off the dual-tone paint scheme for a customer, we have no information if this was a one off thing, or if all Maruti dealers are willing to offer dual-tone paint schemes.
Thoughts About The Dual-Tone Paint Scheme
We understand the need to have a dual-tone paint scheme on an SUV. It adds more visual appeal and more oomph to the vehicle. But on an S-Presso? We think the orange coloured bumper looks rather odd and we won't be surprised if someone asks the owner why he felt the need to install two bumpers in the front. Think about it!
