The Mahindra XUV300 is offered with two turbocharged engine options — a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel — both of which are paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. 110bhp @ 5,000rpm and 200Nm of torque (best in the segment) between 2,000-3,500rpm. The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, on the other hand, cranks out 115bhp @ 3,750rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,500-2,500rpm. The petrol engine has a claimed ARAI-tested mileage of 17km/l, while the diesel is rated at 20km/l. With a 42-litre fuel tank on offer, the claimed range of the new Mahindra XUV300 is a minimum of 714 kilometres.

In terms of size, the XUV300 measures in at just under 4 metres long at 3,995mm. This allows Mahindra to benefit from subsidies offered for cars under 4-metres long by the government. The XUV300 is 1,821mm wide and 1,617mm tall. The wheelbase of the XUV300 measures in at 2,600mm long, which means that there is quite a nice amount of legroom at the rear for passengers.
