The new Mahindra XUV300's booking figures have crossed 4000 units in just a month. Bookings were opened on January 9th while the launch of the Mahindra XUV300 is scheduled for February 14. The sub-four-metre compact-SUV from the house of Mahindra is aimed to be a strong rival to the segment-leading Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

As mentioned before, the Mahindra XUV300 ticks a lot of boxes in terms of features as well. It gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, BlueSense connectivity, seven airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, sunroof, two-zone climate control; plus various other segment-first equipment.

The Mahindra XUV 300 is available in two engine formats: 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol engine makes 110bhp at 5000rpm and 200Nm of torque from 2000rpm. On the other hand, the diesel unit cranks out 115bhp at 3750rpm, plus a strong torque output of 300Nm from as low as 1500rpm. Both engines come mated only to a six-speed manual transmission.
