2020 Land Rover Defender Spotted — Expected 2020 Launch
The 2020 Land Rover Defender has arrived in India and was spotted in the middle of testing. The prototype has been registered with Tata Consultancy Services, and a spy shot posted by Team-BHP. The fact that the vehicle is registered with TCS means it could be here just for component testing.
The Land Rover Defender that was seen testing appears to retain its bare-basic, old-school characteristics. Along with the clearly seen box style body, it should have a high-set bonnet, squarish windows, plain door design, straight shoulder line and roof line, and more pronounced wheel arches.
Gerry McGovern, Design Director, Land Rover, said, "There will be hints of the previous generation models, but the design will be drastically different and way more contemporary." The vehicle is expected to come in a 2 door Short Wheel Base, and a 4 door Long Wheel Base versions. There are rumors that Land Rover may introduce a pick-up truck variant later, but this seems unlikely.

The design and development of the all-new Defender have been done at JLR's Gaydon base in the UK. Its production will commence at the company's new £1 billion manufacturing facility in Slovakia in early 2020.
We expect the 2020 Land Rover Defender to be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, and also expect the SUV to be launched in the Indian market by early 2021.
Thoughts About The Spy Shot Of The New 2020 Range Rover Defender
Well the SUV does look like a box, but we guess most Land Rover vehicles look like boxes. JLR are definitely going to up the game with and load the vehicle with a lot of features. We assume a large number of features will be 'connectivity' oriented as this seem to be the 'in thing' at the moment. We're looking forward to testing the new 2020 Land Rover Defender.
