Kia Seltos Registers 12,800 Units Of Sales In October 2019
Kia Motors India, has sold 12,800 units of its Seltos SUV in the month of October 2019. Since its launch in the Indian market, the Seltos SUV has been racking up achievements and milestone badges in terms of sales for the brand.
Comparing the sales figures from September month, the SUV had registered 7,750 units. Kia Motors has managed to sell 5,050 units more in October, making it the top-selling SUV in the country. Also, a record for sales numbers achieved in a single month for the brand.
The company has delivered 2,184 units on a single day across India on Dhanteras, this Diwali. Also, Kia has increased the production numbers, aiming to reduce the waiting time as well.
The company also announced earlier that they will be exporting made-in-India Seltos SUV to the international markets as well. The company will export 30 per cent of the total production from the Chennai Port to other parts of the globe.
Kia is offering the Seltos SUV with three BS-VI compliant engine options. This includes, a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 115bhp and 250Nm, while the diesel power unit churns out 115bhp and 350Nm of torque. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 138bhp and 242Nm of torque.
The transmission options on the Kia Seltos include a standard six-speed manual transmission offered on all engines. Kia is also offering the SUV with a choice of three automatic transmissions — CVT for the 1.5-litre petrol, IVT for the 1.5-litre diesel, and a seven-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) for the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine.
The Kia Seltos has been nominated for the ‘World Car of the Year 2020' award. The Seltos SUV is offered with more than 15 trim options, and are currently priced between Rs 9.69 lakh and Rs 16.99 lakh, ex-showroom (India).
