Hyundai Registers 12,500 Car Deliveries In A Single Day On Dhanteras
Hyundai Motors has announced deliveries of 12,500 units of cars in the Indian market on a single day. The company announced that on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras in India, the brand delivered 12,500 units of various popular models in the country on a single day.
Hyundai is currently the second-largest carmaker in the Indian market, after Maruti Suzuki. Hyundai is also the only brand, apart from Maruti Suzuki, whose cars feature consistently among the top-10 best-selling models.
The company's latest products include the Venue compact-SUV and the Grand i10 NIOS. Both of the models have been received extremely well in the Indian market. The Hyundai Venue has also gone on to top the SUV sales in the Indian market for the last couple of months.
Apart from the Hyundai Venue and the Grand i10 NIOS, other popular models from the brand also include the Creta SUV and the Elite i20 premium hatchback. The Hyundai Elite i20 is currently the company's best-selling model in the Indian market.
All four models in India bring in consistent volume sales in the market. The company last year also introduced the ‘Santro' moniker back in the Indian market. The new Hyundai Santro is currently the entry-level offering from the Korean brand in the country.
Hyundai is currently working on bringing in engine updates on most of its products in the Indian market. With the Grand i10 NIOS already compliant with the upcoming BS6 emissions, other models will also be updated by early-2020.
Apart from the model update, Hyundai is also working on introducing the next-generation Creta SUV in the Indian market. The new Hyundai Creta will be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo, ahead of its launch in India at a slightly later stage.
The new Hyundai Creta will feature a completely refreshed design, including dual-headlamps with LED lighting all around. The car will also feature a host of new equipment, both inside and out.
In terms of engines, the 2020 Hyundai Creta is likely to borrow the BS6-compliant petrol and diesel units from its sister brand, Kia Motors. These will be the same engines which currently power the Seltos SUV in the Indian market.
Thoughts On The Hyundai Car Deliveries On Dhanteras
Hyundai has announced that the company has delivered over 12,500 models in a single day in the country. Indian customers usually prefer to take deliveries of new cars on special occasions such as Dhanteras, which is considered auspicious. Apart from Hyundai, MG Motor India also recently announced that they had delivered 700 units of the Hector in a single day as well.
