Honda Jazz Electric Spied Testing In India Yet Again — India-Launch On The Cards?
With the Indian market moving towards electric mobility, many manufacturers have started looking into introducing electric vehicles in the country. Hyundai has already launched the Kona EV, which is India's first all-electric SUV.
Honda is another such manufacturer looking into entering the Indian EV space. It has been testing the jazz electric hatchback in the Indian market for quite a while now, although there has been no confirmation from their side.
The Honda Jazz EV has now been spotted yet again on the Indian streets. As seen from the images from carandbike, the Jazz EV has been doing the rounds in the country's capital.
The design of the electric version of the Jazz is similar to the Honda Fit EV, available in the international markets. The front of the Jazz EV comes with a silver accent running across the width connecting the triangular headlamps on either side. The rear of the Jazz EV also comes with changes, including small wraparound lights, replacing the vertically-stacked LED tail lamps on the current petrol-powered version available in India.
The Honda Jazz EV spy pics also show the car with a large spoiler which covers the side of the rear windshield. The Jazz EV can also be seen sporting neatly designed alloy wheels as well.
Although the spy pics doesn't reveal the car to have an ‘EV' badge anywhere on the hatchback, we can see cover the for the charging port on the front right side, confirming its an electric vehicle.
Honda is yet to officially confirm the technical specifications of the battery pack used in the Jazz EV. The brand is also yet to announce the power figures for the EV, however, what the car does claim is a range of around 300km on a single charge.
Thoughts On The Honda Jazz EV Spy Pics
Honda has not officially confirmed any news regarding the entry of the Jazz EV in the Indian market. However, they have confirmed that they will be bringing in electric vehicles to India, although it will take a few more years. Apart from Honda, other manufacturers such as Maruti Suzuki and MG have all confirmed EVs in India sometime soon.
