Datsun GO & GO+ CVT Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 5.94 Lakh
Datsun has launched the GO & GO+ CVT variants in the Indian market. The new Datsun GO CVT and GO+ CVT are offered with an introductory price of Rs 5.94 lakh and Rs 6.58 lakh, respectively.
The CVT automatic transmission on the Datsun GO and GO+ models are offered on the two top-spec variants: T and T(O). The Datsun GO CVT 'T(O)' variant is priced at Rs 6.18 lakh. Similarly, the Datsun GO+ CVT T(O) variant is priced at Rs 6.80 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (India).
Both cars are powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, producing 75bhp and 104Nm of torque. This is a hike of 9bhp power output compared to the standard manual variants, which were launched in India last year. The CVT transmission on the Datsun GO-twins is a first-in-segment feature. The two cars now also feature a low mode and a sport mode as well. Apart from the above-mentioned changes, no other updates have been made on the two cars.
The CVT transmission is offered on the top-of-the-line T and T(O) variants on both the cars. The top-spec variants come with a host of features including, LED DRLs, large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 14-inch alloy wheels, dual-front airbags, pedestrian impact protection, ABS with EBD, seat-belt reminder and central locking; among a host of others.

The Datsun GO & GO+ CVT models are among the most affordable automatic models in their respective segments. The Datsun GO rivals the likes of the Tata Tiago, Maruti WagonR and Hyundai Santro. The Datsun GO+, on the other hand, rivals the likes of the Renault Triber in the MPV segment.
