Volkswagen Polo, Ameo And Vento Connect Edition Launched In India

The newly launched Connect edition cars feature Volkswagen Connect, an intelligent connected vehicle assistance system that allows the customers to connect to the car via a smartphone app. The special edition models will come with a dongle to connect their smartphone and access vital data through the Connect app.

The new Connect assistance system allows the customer to track every trip made by the vehicle, share location, monitor fuel cost and driver behaviour, connect to the Volkswagen helpline in case of an emergency and to book service appointments.

The Volkswagen Polo, Ameo and Vento Connect edition models also feature a new Lapiz Blue paint scheme. Other updates to the exterior design include carbon finished ORVMs, gloss black roof and side foils, 16-inch grey Portago alloy wheels and Connect badging on the fender.

The interior of the new Connect edition Volkswagen Polo, Ameo and Vento sports leatherette seat covers and aluminium pedals. The standard Polo, Ameo and Vento also get Moonstone colour around the audio system, glove box light and a USB charging port at the rear.

Volkswagen has also updated the Vento and the sedan now comes with dual front airbags, 15-inch diamond cut Allstar alloy wheels on the Highline trim and body coloured rear spoiler. Volkswagen has stated that the Connect edition models are available at no extra cost. Mechanically, the Connect edition models remain the same.

Currently, the Volkswagen Polo is priced between Rs 5.55 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh, the Ameo is priced between Rs 5.65 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh and the Vento sedan carries a price tag of Rs 8.38 lakh to Rs 14.02 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom (India).
