Triumph Motorcycles India Conducts Freedom Ride Across Dealerships To Mark India’s Independence
Triumph Motorcycles conducts nationwide ride to commemorate India's 72nd anniversary of independence. The Triumph 'Freedom Ride' was conducted across all their dealerships in India and witnessed the participation of 513 riders, from the Riders Association of Triumph groups.
This year's Freedom Ride was also aimed towards something noble– supporting girl child education. All the Triumph riders contributed generously for this special cause. Furthermore, the proceeds from the ride will be donated to the #SheCanFly campaign of Smile Foundation. The amount will in turn help in educating girl children for one full year.
Smile Foundation is a national-level organisation benefitting over four lakh underprivileged children, their families and the community. The development organisation has 250 welfare projects on subjects such as education, healthcare, livelihood and women empowerment across the 25 states of India.
Co-Founder of Smile Foundation, Mr Santanu Mishra shared - "Education is the most important element of our upbringing and especially for women, as education empowers a woman towards a better life. We immensely appreciate the efforts taken by brand Triumph in partnering us to promote the cause of Girl Child- She can fly campaign. Through this initiative, we want to sensitize civil society and partner them in the process of empowering, educating and making our girl child stronger, to stand her own ground."
Mr Shoeb Farooq, GM, Triumph Motorcycles India said - "It was fantastic to see so many of our riders turning up for the Independence Day ride, all riding for a noble cause, It was indeed a proud moment for all of us to be a part of this Freedom Ride. In a country like ours, where the female population has limited access to education, it is imperative we continue to create opportunities for growing girl children to learn, grow and evolve. Like every year, Triumph enthusiasts have shown a great amount of support for this noble cause wholeheartedly. I am certain that the number of riders will continue to rise and make the experience a memorable one".
Thoughts On The Triumph Freedom Ride
The Triumph Freedom Ride was quite a success mainly becauseit was conducted for a noble cause, while also being enjoyable. The British motorcycle manufacturer is performing really well in the premium motorcycle segment in India and they occasionally conduct nationwide rides such as this. Besides the brand, the generous minds of the 513 riders who've contributed to the cause, are also worth mentioning.
