Here is a quick look at all the specific details of the flagship Tata Harrier SUV.

Tata Harrier: Top Speed & Acceleration

Tata Motors is yet to officially announce the top speed and acceleration times of their new Harrier SUV. However, with the Tata Harrier going against the likes of the Jeep Compass and the Hyundai Creta, we can expect a similar performance from the Harrier as well.

Going by this, the Tata Harrier can be expected to have a top speed close to 180km/h and a 0 - 100km/h time of just under 10 seconds.

Note: The top speed and acceleration mentioned above, are purely indicative. We will get to know the actual figures at a later stage.

Tata Harrier: Power & Torque Figures

Tata Motors has announced the engine specifications of their new Harrier SUV, ahead of its launch. The Tata Harrier will be powered by a new 2.0-litre ‘Kryotec' diesel engine. It will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, sending power to the front wheels.

At the time of launch, the Harrier will miss out on an AMT transmission as well as an all-wheel-drive system. However, Tata Motors is expected to introduce both at a later stage.

Tata Harrier: Mileage & Fuel Capacity

The Tata Harrier is expected to offer a decent performance, especially with the new 2.0-litre diesel unit. However, in a country like India with constantly fluctuating fuel prices, mileage plays an important factor in decision making, among potential customers.

Tata Motors comes with a decent fuel tank capacity of 50-litres and is expected to ideally offer fuel efficiency figures close to around 14 – 16km/l.

Note: Again, these figures are purely speculative and may vary depending on the driving style and usage.

Tata Harrier: Ground Clearance & Boot Space

The Tata Harrier is offered in a five-seater configuration, although a seven-seater variant is expected to launch at a later stage.
The five-seater Harrier comes with a luggage capacity 425 litres. The rear seats can further be folded in a 60:40 split, further extending the boot space to 810-litres.

The Tata Harrier also offers a good ground clearance of 205mm. This is higher than most of its rivals in the SUV segment.

Tata Harrier: Tyre Size & Kerb Weight

The Tata Harrier comes with fairly large tyres. The lower variants of the SUV, come with 16-inch steel wheels while the high-spec trims offer 17-inch alloys. The Tata Harrier uses 235/65 R17 radial tubeless tyres on all four ends. The spare, on the other hand, has a smaller 235/65 R16 profile.

The kerb weight of the Tata Harrier is 1,675kg.

Tata Harrier: Variants & Pricing

Tata Motors has also hinted that the Harrier will be priced at around Rs 16 - 21 lakh, on road. Although, the exact prices will be announced closer to the launch date.

The Tata Harrier will come with a range of five new colour options. These include Calisto Copper, Ariel Silver, Thermisto Gold, Orcus White & Telesto Grey.
