With the unveiling, Tata Motors celebrated their 20-year Anniversary at the Geneva Motor Show.

Tata Motors unveiled the EVision electric concept at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The Tata EVision concept features the latest of Tata's design language, Impact Design 2.0. The concept sedan is based on Tata's latest OMEGA platform which is a base to all electric Tata models of the future.

The Tata EVision concept is based on a new platform architecture. The 'OMEGA' architecture will serve as a base for all future electric Tata models. Meanwhile, the regular models from Tata Motors including hatchbacks, sedans and small SUVs will be based either on ‘Alfa' or AMP platform. OMEGA stands for Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced.

The dashboard of the Tata EVision concept features a combination of leather and wood. The instrument cluster is TFT. There is a thin strip at the centre, which seems to show the navigation. The 3-spoke steering wheel is leather wrapped and gets metal and wooden detailing, along with some controls.

The Tata EVision comes equipped with assist features such as Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), HMI (Human-Machine Interface), drive analytics, geospatial navigation among others. The systems can be accessed from a retracting TFT display on the dashboard.

The dimensions of the Tata EVision is close to something like a BMW 3 Series or a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. If Tata retains some of the design traits and features of the EVision in the production variant, we can expect an Indian premium saloon, ready to compete with the foreign players.
