New Mitsubishi Outlander Launched In India; Priced At Rs 31.95 Lakh
New Mitsubishi Outlander launched in India: Japanese automaker Mitsubishi has launched the all-new 2018 Outlander SUV in the country. The new Mitsubishi Outlander is available in a single fully-loaded variant. The new Outlander is priced at Rs 31.95 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai).
The new Mitsubishi Outlander will come to India via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. The new Outlander draws power from a 2.4-litre four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine churning out 164bhp and 222Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-step CVT gearbox delivering power to all the four wheels.
The all-new Mitsubishi Outlander will be offered in a seven-seater configuration and the second and third-row seats can fold flat to increase the luggage space. Mitsubishi is unlikely to offer the diesel version of the SUV in India but as reported earlier, the company is considering the plug-in hybrid model for India.
The interior of the new Outlander features a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, electric sunroof, electric parking brake, 710Watt Rockford Fosgate sound system, paddle shifters for the CVT gearbox and leather seats.
Other prominent features of the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander include LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, LED fog lights, heated ORVMs, LED tail light cluster and 16-inch alloy wheels. All these features are standard as only one variant is offered in the country.
The Mitsubishi Outlander comes loaded with safety features such as seven airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, active stability control, hill-start assist, automatic headlights and wipers and engine immobiliser. All the safety features are also offered as standard.
The new Mitsubishi Outlander will be offered in seven colour options: Black Pearl, Cosmic Blue, Orient Red, Cool Silver, White Solid, White Pearl and Titanium Grey.
Thoughts On The New Mitsubishi Outlander
The new Mitsubishi Outlander features an all-new design language as compared to the outgoing model. The SUV still lacks a diesel engine which might be a drawback for Mitsubishi in the Indian market. The new Outlander will rival the likes of Skoda Kodiaq and the upcoming next-gen Honda CR-V.
