2018 Mahindra XUV500 Revealed Ahead Of Launch; Specs, Features, Variants And More
Mahindra is all set to launch the new 2018 XUV500 in India.
Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to launch the new 2018 XUV500 in India later this month. Ahead of that the facelifted XUV500 has been revealed in the latest images from TeamBHP. The SUV has started to arrive across the Mahindra dealerships in the country.
The new 2018 Mahindra XUV500 gets a completely revamped front end which now looks more premium. The front fascia of the facelifted XUV500 features a new grille, redesigned bumper, new headlamps with projector lights and LED DRLs.
The rear end of the new 2018 Mahindra XUV500 sports a newly designed tail lamp cluster which is now in triangular shape. The SUV also gets a new tailgate which makes the SUV look more premium. The side profile of the new XUV500 remains the same.

Inside the cabin, the new 2018 XUV500 features a similar dashboard layout but there are subtle changes done to the seat upholstery and door trim. The top-spec model gets leather upholstery and the SUV features the same infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The new Mahindra XUV500 draws power from the existing 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine producing 155bhp and 360Nm of torque. The power figures have gone up as compared to the current-gen model.
The higher power output is achieved with the new sixth-gen turbocharger equipped with eGVT technology. It is said that the lower variants will get the same old output which stands at 140bhp and 330Nm of torque.
The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 will also be offered with a 2.2-litre petrol engine producing 140bhp. The diesel engine with the higher output will return a mileage of 15.4kpl. Mahindra will also offer all-wheel-drive and automatic gearbox on the top-spec trim.

The new 2018 Mahindra XUV500 features revamped front and rear fascia and subtle updates to the interior. The 2018 XUV500 also gets a bump in the power output which will be the prominent highlight of the SUV. Expect Mahindra to announce the prices in the coming days.
