2018 Audi TT Facelift Revealed — Sportier Design And Comes With More Standard Kit
German automaker Audi has revealed the 2018 Audi TT facelift with a sportier exterior design. The new updated Audi TT now also comes with more standard kits and features to keep you engaged. The third-gen Audi TT has received major updates in terms of mechanical components.
On the design front, the facelifted Audi TT features a new single-frame grille, large side air dams and the side and the rear profile gets a horizontal line which complements the overall design. The optional S line package comes with a front splitter, vertical air inlets, titanium black grille and side sills.
The Audi TT facelift also gets LED Matrix headlights as an optional feature. The new 2018 Audi TT is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and Audi also offers 18, 19, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The new 2019 Audi TT now comes with more standard kit as compared to the outgoing model. The base variant of the TT facelift features Audi Select drive dynamic handling, multifunction steering wheel, rain and light sensor, heated ORVMs and illuminated USB ports with Bluetooth.
The new 2018 Audi TT will be offered with three engine options: a 2-litre 40 TFSI, 2-litre 45 TFSI and 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The 40 TFSI unit churns out 194bhp, the 45 TFSI engine is good for 245bhp and the turbo-petrol engine produces 302bhp.
Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The new Audi TT also features progressive steering, four-link rear suspension, Electronic Stabilisation Control and the wheel-selective torque control system activates during fast cornering which improves the overall handling.
Apart from the facelifted model, Audi will also introduce a limited edition TT 20 Years model to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the TT. The limited edition model will be based on the original TT concept revealed in 1995. The special TT will be limited to 999 units and will come with 45 TFSI engine.
Thoughts On The 2018 Audi TT Facelift
The new 2019 Audi TT facelift features subtle changes to the exterior design and now comes with more standard kits as compared to the outgoing model. The new Audi TT looks sportier and gets more features. Audi retails the pre-facelift model in the country and the company has not revealed the launch timeline of the new TT.
