Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Splash With Custom Colour Options Launched In India
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has not been a seller in the Indian market. Now, to attract some interest towards the SUV, Mitsubishi has introduced the Pajero Sport Splash with custom colour options. The new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Splash will offer a host of custom colour options.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Splash is offered with both the standard Pajero Sport and the Pajero Sport Select Plus. Customers can choose from over 30 different colours and patterns to suit their need. The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Splash comes with three design patterns with five dual-tone colour options.
Customers can configure the colour through the online configurator. The patterns and colour options for both the Pajero Sport and the Pajero Sport Select Plus remains the same. The customers can try different patterns and colours before finalising which colour to go with. With the new colours, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport looks attractive as compared to the standard model.
Mechanically, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport remains unchanged. The SUV draws power from the same 3.4-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder diesel engine churning out 175bhp and 400Nm of torque on the manual variant and 350Nm of torque on the automatic variant.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is offered with 4x4 manual and 4x2 automatic transmission options while the Pajero Sport Select Plus is available only with the 4x4 automatic gearbox. Apart from the new customisation colour options, the interior and exterior design remain the same.
Mitsubishi launched the Pajero Sport SUV in India in 2012 to compete with the previous-gen Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. Ford and Toyota updated their SUVs with new design features and a new engine. But Mitsubishi has not updated the SUV since its launch. It might be one of the reason behind the poor sales of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Splash is priced in the range of Rs 28.85 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
Thoughts On The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Splash
Mitsubishi has introduced the Pajero Sport Splash in the Indian market to improve the sales of the SUV. The Splash variant is available more than 30 different colours and patterns. But the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport remains unchanged in terms of engine, and exterior and interior design. The Splash colour options have induced a new look to the SUV which has been in the market for quite some time.
