Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition Revealed
Mitsubishi has revealed the Pajero Final Edition as it will discontinue the SUV in the European markets.
Japanese automaker Mitsubishi will discontinue the Pajero SUV in the European markets due to poor demand and strict emission norms. To bid goodbye to the tough SUV, Mitsubishi has revealed the final editions of the Pajero. The Mitsubishi Pajero made its European debut in 1982.
Now, Mitsubishi has revealed the Final Edition models of the Pajero to commemorate the history of the SUV. The Pajero Final Edition will be available in both three-door and five-door variants. Mitsubishi has limited the production of the special edition models to 1,000 units (300 three-door & 700 five-door).
Each unit of the Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition will get a unique numbering. The three-door version of the Final Edition model features front bar, 4mm thick aluminium front skid plate and 18-inch off-road rims shod with special A/T tyres.
Other features include roof rails, headlamp washers, cruise control, heated front seats, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers heated windscreen, infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and aluminium underbody skid plate to protect engine and gearbox.
On the other hand, the five-door variant of the Pajero Final Edition is equipped with 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and illuminated door sills. The interior of the SUV is equipped with leather seats, electric sunroof and infotainment system with navigation.
Both the three-door and five-door version of the Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition draws power from a 3.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 187bhp and 441Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox and Super Select 4WD-II permanent four-wheel-drive system.
Thoughts On The Mitsubishi Pajero Final Edition
Mitsubishi has finally decided to discontinue the Pajero in the European market due to the poor sales. To bid adieu to the iconic SUV, the company has revealed the Final Edition of the Pajero which are limited to just 1,000 units. In India, the Pajero is sold as Montero and Mitsubishi is unlikely to introduce the Final Edition model in the country.
