2018 Maserati GranTurismo Launched At Rs 2.25 Crore — One Of The Best From Italy!
Maserati has launched the 2018 re-styled GranTurismo in India. The 2018 Maserati GranTurismo has been priced at Rs 2.25 crore, ex-showroom (India). The car was globally unveiled at the Goodwood Festival last year and has been designed by the iconic Italian design house, Pininfarina.
The Maserati GranTurismo comes with a host of new upgrades to both its exterior and interiors. Exterior changes include a new shark-nose hexagonal grille, new air ducts which helps improve airflow.
The sides of the car don't feature any major changes, while the rear comes with re-designed bumpers. The rear, however, does retain the carbon-fibre lip spoiler and dual-exhaust pipes. The overall design updates at have helped the car reduce aerodynamic drag to 0.32 from 0.33.
Inside, the 2018 Maserati GranTurismo comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features also include Mirror Link, Harmon Kardon sound system and Alcantara steering with carbon-fibre finished back.
The 2018 GranTurismo also comes with seats wrapped in Poltrona Frau leather, carbon-fibre detailing on the centre console and rotary dials finished in forged aluminium.
The 2018 Maserati GranTurismo is available in two variants: Sport and MC. Both variants are powered by a 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine, sourced from Ferrari. It produces 460bhp and 520Nm of torque and is mated to a standard six-speed automatic transmission.
Bojan Jankulovski, Head of Operations, Maserati India, said "For over 70 years, our quest has been to develop and refine a unique, pure expression of the GranTurismo concept. What we are going to showcase tonight is the finest example of timeless philosophy. It's a luxurious, handcrafted grand-tourer fitted with a sophisticated race car engine, one of the last naturally aspirated engines. The restyled GranTurismo is a car for those who defy convention, those who dare to be different."
Thoughts On The 2018 Maserati GranTurismo
The 2018 Maserati GranTurismo offers a number of updates, compared to the previous generation model. Unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last year, the car has finally been launched in India. The 2018 GranTurismo rivals the likes of the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Nissan GT-R in India.
