Mahindra Marazzo: Things To Know About The Latest Entrant In The MPV Segment
Mahindra & Mahindra launched the Marazzo at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom (India) and it is quite a unique offering from the Indian automaker. Built around an entirely new platform, the Mahindra Marazzo follows a shark-inspired design language. The MPV is available in four variants and comes with a host of features which are new to the segment.
Bookings were already started before the launch and you can confirm yours for Rs 10,000. The Mahindra Marazzo is available in both seven-seater and eight-seater configurations. Meanwhile, a petrol version of the Marazzo is also in the works.
That said, here are some top things to know about the Mahindra Marazzo!
Mahindra Marazzo: Top Speed & Acceleration
Though Mahindra has not officially released any performance figures for their new Marazzo, we expect the MPV to be able to attain a top speed of around 145km/h; given its output, weight and dimensions.

Mahindra Marazzo: Power & Torque
The Mahindra Marazzo comes with an all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine which makes 121bhp at 3500rpm and 300Nm of torque at 1750 – 2500rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which drives the front wheels.
An automatic variant of the Mahindra Marazzo will be introduced at a later stage.
Mahindra Marazzo: Mileage & Fuel Tank Capacity
The new Mahindra Marazzo has got an ARAI-claimed mileage figure of 17.6km/l, which is good enough for an MPV at this price point. With a fuel tank capacity of 45 litres, the Mahindra Marazzo can also deliver a decent driving range.
Mahindra Marazzo: Ground Clearance, Overall Dimensions & Turning Radius
Being a Mahindra product, the Marazzo is built specifically for the Indian terrain just like any other model from the brand. With a ground clearance of around 200mm, the Mahindra Marazzo can go over most kinds of irregular roads.
Overall dimensions (length x width x height) stay at 4585x1866x1774mm. While the Mahindra Marazzo has got a long wheelbase of 2760mm, the minimum turning radius stands at 5.25 metres.
Mahindra Marazzo: Tyre Size, Boot Space & Seating Capacity
As mentioned before, the Mahindra Marazzo comes in four variants: M2, M4, M6 and M8. Depending on the variant, the tyres and wheel proportions vary. While the base three variants come with 215/65 R16 tyres, the top-of-the-line M8 trim gets 215/60 R17 tyres; everything being tubeless radials.
The M6 trim gets 16-inch alloy wheels as opposed to the M8's 17-inchers. The other two trims make do with steel rims.

The Mahindra Marazzo is also a highly practical MPV. The cabin has lots of storage space and the boot space with all the seats upright is 190 litres. Should you wish to have more space, you can fold both the second and third-row seats to get a massive 1055 litres of space (by folding just the third row, you can get 680 litres).
Mahindra Marazzo: Colours
The Mahindra Marazzo is available in six vibrant colour schemes which suit to the MPV's character: Iceberg White, Oceanic Black, Mariner Maroon, Shimmering Silver, Aqua Marine (shown) and Poseidon Purple.
Thoughts On The New Mahindra Marazzo
The Mahindra Marazzo is arguably the best MUV/MPV on the market right now. The Marazzo features a lot for its pricing and can be considered as a cheaper alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta. The company has already started receiving a lot of bookings for the Marazzo and we think it is an ideal premium choice for the upper middle class. What do you think?
