2018 Jeep Wrangler Three And Five-Door SUV Spotted In Mumbai
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler 3-door and 5-door versions spotted arriving at the Mumbai airport recently.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler, three and five-door versions have been imported into the country. The three and five-door versions of the Wrangler Unlimited were spotted in Mumbai recently.
According to Motorbash, both versions of the Jeep SUV are in India for homologation purposes. The images indicate that the three-door version of the Wrangler will be launched in India soon.
Jeep already sells the Wrangler Unlimited in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). The company is expected to launch the new-generation model by the end of 2018 or early next year.
The latest spy images showcase a silver three-door and a black five-door Wrangler Unlimited. Both models in the images seem to be the higher spec models.
The 2018 generation models of both versions of the Wrangler Unlimited SUV were first showcased at the Los Angeles Motor Show last year. This was followed by its European debut at this year's Geneva Motor Show.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler SUV is now based on a new platform. The new-generation SUV comes with a host of major updates. This includes a new larger grille, LED headlamps and DRLs integrated on the new front bumpers. Other exterior updates on the new Wrangler: alloy wheels, ORVMs integrated with turn indicators and new taillights.
On the inside, the 2018 Wrangler gets an updated dashboard. The SUV features the Uconnect 4C NAV 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other standard features include dual-zone climate control, passive keyless entry and push-button start.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler SUV now comes with a four engine options. This includes the choice between two petrol and two diesel offering.
Petrol engine on the Wrangler include a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 270bhp and 400Nm of torque. There is also a larger 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar engine, which churns out 285bhp with 353Nm of torque.
The diesel engine choices include a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 197bhp and 450Nm of torque. The larger diesel option comes in the form of a 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged engine. This engine churns out 240bhp and 570Nm of torque.
All four engine choices will be mated to a new eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
