Jeep Compass Limited Plus (With Sunroof) Bookings Open — Listed On Official Website
Jeep Compass Limited Plus Bookings Open: Jeep India has officially listed the new Limited Plus variant of the Compass SUV on their official website. For the same reason, we can expect the launch of the new Jeep Compass to happen soon. Bookings have unofficially started at Rs 1 lakh.
The Jeep Compass Limited Plus was recently spied on public roads without any camouflage and the main highlight of the new variant is its panoramic sunroof. Once launched, it will be the top-of-the-line variant of the successful five-seater SUV.
As per reports, the new Jeep Compass variant will be launched in the country on October 19, 2018. Though the American manufacturer is yet to confirm it, them listing it on the website hints a near-approaching launch date.
Besides the sunroof, the Jeep Compass Limited Plus will come with a bigger 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new 18-inch alloy wheels, eight-way adjustable driver seat and many other features available on the current-top Limited trim. Rumours also suggest that the new Limited Plus could come with a nine-speaker BeatsAudio system as in the international variants.
Mechanically, it will carry the same petrol and diesel engine options. However, the diesel variant could be available with an automatic transmission. Currently, only the petrol variant comes mated to an automatic transmission. The petrol variants also miss out on all-wheel-drive, unlike the diesel.
As of now, the 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine makes 170bhp and 350Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed manual. All-wheel-drive is available only on the Limited trim. The 1.4-litre MultiAir turbocharged petrol engine puts out 160bhp and 250Nm of torque, while being available mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic.
Prices for the new Limited Plus variant of the Jeep Compass is expected to be around Rs 22 lakh for the petrol and Rs 23 lakh for the diesel format. Both prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).
Thoughts On The New Jeep Compass Limited Plus
The Jeep Compass is one of the most popular premium SUVs on the market right now, while also being the most successful model from the American brand in India. Sales figures are still at the top and a few limited editions of the Jeep Compass have been introduced the past few months. The new Jeep Compass Limited Plus will surely see success and we hope that it will come with an automatic transmission on the diesel avatar.
