Isuzu Motors To Increase Prices Of D-Max Pickup Range From September

Isuzu Motors has announced a price hike on its entire range of D-Max pickup truck SUVs from the 1st September. Prices of the Isuzu D-Max range will be increased by around 2 to 3 per cent.

Isuzu Motors has announced a price hike of their D-Max pickup range in India. The increase in prices will be effective from the 1st September 2018.

The company is said to hike prices of the entire D-Max range, from the regular cab models to the 4x4 adventure pickup, the D-Max V-Cross. Isuzu states that the main reason for the price hike is due to the rising distribution and input costs.

Prices of all models in the range will increase by two to three per cent. This translates to a price hike of roughly Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000, depending on the model and the variant.

This is the second time, the company has announced a hike in prices. The company had previously increased prices of its entire range of pickups and SUVs by three to four per cent in January this year.

The Isuzu pickup range consists of three variants: D-Max Cab, D-Max S-Cab and the flagship D-Max V-Cross. The top-of-the-line D-Max V-Cross is further available in two variants - Standard and High.

Prices for the Isuzu range start from Rs 6.86 lakh for the base D-Max cab model. While the flagship V-Cross is priced at Rs 14.31 lakh and Rs 15.81 lakh for the standard and high variant, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).

The top-of-the-line 4x4 adventure model, the D-Max V-Cross comes with a 2,499cc, four-cylinder turbo inter-cooled diesel engine. It produces 134bhp and 320Nm of torque. The engine is further mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, sending power to all four wheels.

Isuzu Motors is the latest in-line to announce price hikes of their product offerings in the country. Other manufacturers such as Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata Moto, Honda Cars India and Mercedes-Benz have already announced a hike in their product line-ups as well. All companies have cited the rising input costs as the main reason for the price increase.
