Hyundai Tucson Facelift India Launch Details Revealed
South Korean automaker Hyundai revealed the new Tucson facelift at the 2018 New York Motor Show. The Hyundai Tucson facelift was expected to be introduced in the Indian market in 2019. Now, Autocar India reports that the updated Hyundai Tucson SUV will be launched in the country in May 2019.
On the design front, the new Hyundai Tucson facelift features a new front end. The front fascia of the facelifted Tucson features a new cascading grille, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, new fog lamp housing and revamped bumper.
The rear end of the SUV also gets a new bumper and revised tail light cluster. The Tucson facelift is equipped with newly designed alloy wheels.
The interior of the Hyundai Tucson facelift features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and navigation with 3D maps. The cabin also gets a dual-tone dashboard with silver accents around the AC vents. The SUV comes equipped with a 360-degree camera and adaptive cruise control.
The India-spec Hyundai Tucson facelift is expected to draw power from the same 2-litre petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 153bhp and 192Nm of torque while the diesel unit churns out 182bhp and 400Nm of torque. Both the engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
The Hyundai Tucson facelift will be equipped with a host of safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and hill assist. The electronic aids include forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Intelligent Speed Limit Warning.

Hyundai India is all set to introduce the new Tucson facelift in the Indian market at a time when the SUV segment is booming in the country. The new Tucson will definitely attract the Indian buyers as the SUV gets an updated design and a plethora of features. The Hyundai Tucson facelift will rival the likes of Jeep Compass, Skoda Kodiaq and the Volkswagen Tiguan.
