Honda has confirmed that the new 10th-generation Honda Civic will be launched in India in the 2018/19 financial year and we expect it to hit the roads early next year.

abroad
with
a
host
of
engine
options
ranging
including
three
petrols
-1.0-litre
3-cylinder
turbo,
a
turbo
1.5-litre
four
pot
and
a
2.0-litre
naturally
aspirated
four-cylinder
unit.
The
Civic
also
gets
a
diesel
engine
in
the
form
of
a
1.6-litre,
four-cylinder.
India is expected to get the new Civic with the 2.0-litre petrol and the 1.6-litre diesel engine. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces 158bhp @ 6,500rpm and 187Nm of torque at 4,200rpm. the petrol engine is mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.
The 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine kicks out 118bhp @ 4,000rpm and 300Nm of torque @ 2,000rpm, The diesel engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The Honda Civic is 4,630mm long, 1,799mm wide, and stands 1,416mm tall. The wheelbase of the 10th generation Civic is 2,700mm long and the sedan weighs in at around 1.3-tonnes.

The 10th-gen Honda Civic like the previous one sold in India grabs eyeballs wherever it goes. However, unlike the previous Civic sold in India, the new Civic's design is as aggressive as it gets. The front end is dominated by the large chrome grille which is flanked on either side by angular LED headlights. The bumper adds to the pointy look of the Civic's front end and also plays host to the circular fog lamps.
The sides of the Civic feature bold character lines and the wheel arches play host to some unique-looking alloy wheels while the rear end is dominated by the C-Shaped LED tail lamps.
The interiors of the new Civic are more in line with the ones in its larger sibling the Accord, unlike the previous car which looked like something from the future. The interiors get a dual-tone black and beige theme and also play host to a touchscreen infotainment system.
