The First Rolls-Royce Cullinan Owner From India Is A UAE-Based Businesswoman
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan was unveiled globally in May 2018. The Cullinan is the first SUV from the British luxury car manufacturer and is named after a 3,106-carat South African diamond. The Rolls-Royce Cullinan rivals the Bentley Bentayga W12 – the other prominent name in the ultra-luxury SUV segment.
Though the Cullinan has not been officially launched in India, UAE-based businesswoman, Mrs Abhini Sohan has become the first Indian owner of the SUV. The Cullinan was a gift from her husband, Mr Sohan Roy, the founder of Aries Group in Dubai.

They booked the SUV at the very beginning when Rolls-Royce started accepting orders. As with all high-end or bespoke vehicles, their Cullinan will also take quite some time to be delivered. The Malayali couple expects to get hold of it on 12th December 2018 – their 25th wedding anniversary.
Prices for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan starts at 325,000 US dollars (Rs 2.2 crore) and increases with options. If we consider the current tax rates, the price will go past the five-crore mark.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is based on the latest Phantom VIII platform. It is also the first modern SUV to get suicide doors.
The Cullinan features a timeless or stagnant design – the Cullinan will look just the way it is now even after several years, without showing its age.
The ultra-luxury SUV is available in both four-seat and five-seat configurations. Although being a luxury product in every sense, the Cullinan is also a highly-capable off-roader. In fact, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the brand's first all-wheel-drive product.
Powering the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine that makes 571bhp and 650Nm of torque. This comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2.6-tonne SUV has can also attain a top speed of 250km/h (limited).
The dedicated ‘Off-Road' button, supreme levels of luxury, host of customisation options and the status symbol of a Rolls-Royce, makes the Cullinan, an ultimate garage goal. Rolls-Royce is expected to launch the Cullinan in India soon. The brand recently launched the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII in India, at a private function.
