New Datsun Go, Go+ Facelift India Launch Details Revealed
Datsun is all set to launch its Go and Go+ facelift offerings in India by the first week of October 2018.
The new Datsun Go and Go+ facelift versions are expected to launch this year. According to carandbike, both facelift offerings from Datsun will be launched in the first week of October 2018.
Datsun entered the Indian market back in 2013 with the Go hatchback offering. Later that year, the company also brought in the subcompact seven-seater Go+ offering as well. Now after four years, Datsun will finally bring in the facelift versions of their Go and Go+ offerings in the country. The two cars, based on Nissan's 'V' platform are manufactured at their facility in Chennai.
Datsun first launched the new Go and Go+ facelift version in Indonesia in early May 2018. Both, the Go hatchback and the Go+ MPV facelift come with a revised styling package. However, it is still not clear if these styling kits will be available on the Indian-spec cars.
Exterior styling on the Datsun Go and Go+ facelift versions include reprofiled headlamps, revised front bumpers integrated with LED DRL. The front hexagonal grille on the cars will also be updated with a new mesh design. Higher-spec variants of both the hatchback and MPV offering will feature 14-inch alloy wheels.
Datsun is said to have completely revised the interior look on both the cars. The facelifts of the Go and the Go+ will feature a brand new dashboard. The interiors will also feature a newly designed AC vent along the centre, along with a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The facelift version will new get a restyled instrument cluster, with the addition of an analogue tachometer. Other changes include new individual front seats, along with a proper lid for the glovebox.
However, the Go and the Go+ facelifts will still carry over the high set gear levers and the side air-con vents.
Other standard features on the Datsun Go and Go+ facelift versions: electrically adjustable mirror, rear parking sensors, power window, rear wipers, ABS and airbags.
Both the hatchback and MPV facelift offerings will carry forward the same engine option. This includes a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. This produces 68bhp and 104Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Indonesian-spec also comes equipped with a CVT transmission. However, the Indian-spec might miss out on the CVT gearbox.
Thoughts On The Datsun Go And Go+ Facelift India
With all the updates on both the hatchback and MPV offerings, Datsun is expected to price the cars at a premium. Prices for both offerings is expected to increase by Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000.
