South Korean automaker SsangYong's Tivoli compact SUV has been spotted testing on Indian roads.
South Korean automaker SsangYong's Tivoli compact SUV has been spotted testing on Indian roads again with heavy camouflage covering up the car.
The latest spy images were shared by DriveSpark reader Jithesh Jagadeeshan. The Tivoli was spotted testing alongside Hyundai Creta in Coimbatore.
There were two variants of the SsangYong Tivoli undergoing testing in heavily camouflaged livery. It looks like the Tivoli will be introduced in two avatars, a compact SUV and a stretched variant with extra boot space or even a third-row seat.

The front fascia of the Tivoli features projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and fog lamps on the bumper. The lower part of the bumper is finished in black plastic cladding which runs through the wheel arches and the body.
The Tivoli also comes with blacked out pillars. The compact SUV is equipped with alloy wheels. SsangYong is testing the Tivoli alongside Creta, the current segment leader in the sub-compact SUV market.
The rear profile of the Tivoli sports a slightly raked windshield, LED tail lamp cluster, black plastic cladding on the bumper and reflectors on either side of the bumper.
SsangYong is also testing a smaller version of the Tivoli with a compact boot as compared to the bigger variant. The smaller version of the compact SUV is equipped with steel wheels, and also the headlamps and tail lamps look like a temporary unit. No other details are visible as it is finished with heavily camouflaged livery.
Both the variants of the Tivoli is likely to draw power from a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The interior of the compact SUV is expected to feature dual-tone dashboard, touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control. The Tivoli will also come with a host of safety features.
DriveSpark Thinks!
SsangYong is readying its two new SUVs for the Indian market, and it is expected to be launched in the country by mid-2018. The South Korean automaker is owned by India's Mahindra & Mahindra and is expected to make use of its existing sales and service network.
When launched in India, the smaller version of the Tivoli will rival the likes of Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza, whereas the fully-loaded larger iteration of the SUV will lock horns with the Hyundai Creta.
