Pagani Huayra Roadster revealed. The Huayra Roadster is unusually lighter than its Coupe sibling and is limited to just 100 units.

The drop-top Pagani Huayra Roadster has been revealed ahead of its official global debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

Powering the rebellious Huayra drop-top is a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 produced specially for Pagani by the horsepower hooligans at Mercedes-AMG. The force-fed engine produces 760bhp and 1,000Nm of torque which lights up the rear wheels through the same XTrac seven-speed automatic gearbox used by the Huayra BC.

Pagani has not revealed any acceleration figures yet but expect it to hover at around three seconds thanks to the fact that the Roadster version of the Huayra weighs in at 80 kilogrammes less than the coupe. This is thanks to the Carbo-titanium, and Carbo-Triax HP52 (a new material) monocoque and the use of a lightweight aluminium alloy Pagani calls ‘HiForg' for various suspension bits.

Pagani has released the amount of G-Force the car generates while going around a corner - 1.8G - the highest lateral acceleration "ever seen on a car with road tyres".

Helping the new supercar around the corners the active aero flaps - two up front, two at the back - which work together with the active suspension, flat underbody and revised front end to help the roadster zip through the corners.

Pagani has fitted the Huayra Roadster with massive 380mm Brembo carbon ceramic (six-pot monolithic callipers up front and four-pot monolithic callipers).

The big brakes sit behind forged aluminium alloy wheels - 20 inch up front, 21 inches at the rear - which are shod with either Pirelli P-Zero Corsas designed specifically for Pagani, or P-Zero Trofeo R tyres.

The Pagani Huayra Roadster comes with two roof options: a carbon-fibre roof with a glass window and a cloth roof which can be stored inside the car and installed in just a few simple steps.

Only 100 units of the Pagani Huayra Roadster will leave the production line in Italy, and if you want one for yourself, then you're too late. Each and every Huayra Roadster has found a new home despite the hefty price tag of €2,280,000 (Rs 16.14 crore).
