New Mitsubishi Outlander India Launch Details Revealed
Mitsubishi is all set to launch the new Outlander in the Indian market.
Japanese automaker Mitsubishi is all set to introduce the new Outlander in the Indian market. The new crossover is already listed on the official website for quite some time.
Now, Autocar India reports that the new Mitsubishi Outlander will be launched in the Indian market by May 2018, with the bookings starting in January or February 2018.

The new Mitsubishi Outlander will be a petrol-only model, at least during the launch. The company might add the diesel model at a later stage. The new crossover will draw power from a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine producing 169bhp and 225Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-step CVT gearbox.
The new Outlander will come with the Mitsubishi's Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) AWD system which will deliver power to all the four wheels when required. The crossover will be equipped with multiple driving modes.

The interior of the new Outlander will feature a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather seats, dual-zone climate control, and 710W sound system. Other features include automatic headlight and wipers, electric parking brake and electric sunroof.
The safety features of new Mitsubishi Outlander include six airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control and active stability control. Mitsubishi retailed the second-gen Outlander in India in 2008 but was discontinued after four years due to poor sales.

The third-gen Mitsubishi Outlander will be launched in India as a petrol-only model. In India, people prefer to own a diesel SUV or crossover; it will be interesting to see how the Outlander will perform against its diesel rivals. When launched, the crossover will rival the likes of new Honda CR-V. Expect the pricing to be around Rs 30 lakh.
