The new Mitsubishi Outlander will be a petrol-only model, at least during the launch. The company might add the diesel model at a later stage. The new crossover will draw power from a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine producing 169bhp and 225Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-step CVT gearbox.
The new Outlander will come with the Mitsubishi's Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) AWD system which will deliver power to all the four wheels when required. The crossover will be equipped with multiple driving modes.

The third-gen Mitsubishi Outlander will be launched in India as a petrol-only model. In India, people prefer to own a diesel SUV or crossover; it will be interesting to see how the Outlander will perform against its diesel rivals. When launched, the crossover will rival the likes of new Honda CR-V. Expect the pricing to be around Rs 30 lakh.
