Maserati Ghibli GranLusso Revealed
Maserati Ghibli GranLusso revealed. The Ghibli receives minor styling tweaks and a new name.
Maserati Ghibli GranLusso revealed. The new Ghibli gets new styling, a new name, and self-driving tech and will debut at the ongoing Chengdu Motor Show in China.
The design changes to the new Maserati Ghibli GranLusso compared to the old Ghibli are quite subtle. Up front, the bumper has been revised and receives chrome inserts. The headlights have been tweaked as well and are now adaptive LED units while the grille is now embellished with chrome.
At the rear, the bumper has been restyled as well and combined with the body coloured rear extractor give the new Ghibli GranLusso a sharper look compared to the previous version.
Maserati claims that the design tweaks contribute to a substantial improvement of the aerodynamic efficiency of the new Ghibli GranLusso. To ensure owners and everyone else on the road don't forget the Ghibli's new name, there are GranLusso badge at the bases of the front fenders and body colour side skirts.

Powertrain options on the new Ghibli GranLusso are expected to be unchanged. The 3.0-litre V6 diesel kicks out 276bhp while the petrol engine, also a 3-litre V6 kicks out either 345bhp or 404bhp. Maserati has also added unspecified semi-autonomous driving features to the new Ghibli GranLusso.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The Maserati Ghibli received a minor update last year and while it gains a new badge and revised styling as the new Ghibli GranLusso, the changes are so subtle that they leave us rather perplexed. Maybe, the self-driving tech could change that, but we won't hold our breath about it.
