World’s Fastest SUV Is Coming To India — Launch Date Confirmed
Lamborghini is all set to introduced the Urus SUV in the Indian market.
Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini unveiled its new Super Sport Utility Vehicle, the Urus in Bologna, Italy a couple of days ago. Now, the India launch date of the SUV has been revealed.
Yes, you read it right! Lamborghini will launch the world's fastest SUV in India sooner than expected. The Urus will be launched in the Indian market on January 11, 2018.
Lamborghini will introduce the Urus in India just 38 days after its global debut, which is quite fast as the SUV itself. Previously, Lamborghini also introduced the Huracan Performante just days after its global debut at the 2017 Geneva motor show. The Urus will be open for booking even before the official launch.
Lamborghini has also set up a new manufacturing plant for Urus to cope up with the demand. The SUV is expected to be a high volumes driver for the Italian carmaker which currently retails around 3,500 cars per year.

Lamborghini aims to retail over 7,000 units of Urus per year and markets like India, where the SUVs are becoming extremely popular will play a key role in achieving the goal. This is the main reason behind the introduction of Urus in India sooner than expected and even before the scheduled launch in China, Japan and South East Asia.
Initially, for the first two years, Lamborghini will allocate only limited units of Urus for India, but we are sure that it will be much larger than its cars in the country. The primary challenge for Lamborghini will be meeting the demand in the Indian market.
The Urus is the first Lamborghini to get a turbocharged engine. The SUV draws power from a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine churning out 641bhp and 850Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox delivering power to all the four wheels.
Lamborghini claims that the Urus SUV can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.6 seconds and capable of hitting a top speed of 306km/h. The SUV also comes with six driving modes, out of which three are for off-roading (Sabbia (Sand), Terra (Gravel) and Neve (Snow).

But the Italian firm has sensed the demand for SUVs in India and has shown an urgency to bring the world's fastest SUV to the Indian market.
