Koenigsegg Regera Now Sold Out
Koenigsegg announced that it has pre-sold the production slots for each of the 80 Regeras it will make.
Swedish sports car maker, Koenigsegg announced that it has pre-sold the production slots for each of the 80 Regeras it will make.
The only other way to own one of these examples is if it pops up on the open market, although suitably marked up.
The Regera is the first hybrid model of Koenigsegg along the lines of the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1, and the LaFerrari. The Regera utilises the manufacturer's 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 aided with a trio of electric motors and no gearbox.
The motors deliver a combined 1,500bhp for a 0-100km/h time quoted at 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 410km/h.
Each of the 80 Regeras carries a price tag of about $1.9 million (Rs 12 crore approx.), hence by selling all the 80 Regeras, the company has generated over $1.5 billion (Rs 960 crore approx.)
The Koenigsegg Regera is the first model to be built alongside the Agera RS, using the same internal-combustion engine as the Regera, without the electric motors, to churn out 1,160bhp, which helps sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 442km/h.
