Infiniti Unveils The Q60 Project Black S Concept — F1 Tech Set To Hit The Road
Infiniti has revealed the Q60 Project Black S concept, which uses a hybrid powertrain like a Formula One car.
Infiniti has revealed the Q60 concept ahead of its official debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The concept, called the Infiniti Q60 Project Black S is to portray Infiniti's connection with the Renault Sport Formula One team.
Infiniti shared its expertise with the Renault Formula One team to develop the hybrid power engine for the 2017 Formula One car, especially in the energy regeneration process. The Q60 Project Black S is Infiniti's wish to use Formula One tech for road cars.
Also, Infiniti is hinting at a high-performance car. Infiniti will determine in the due course of time determine if the car should be put to production. Infiniti had showcased two cars earlier, and this is the third such concept.
The Infiniti Q60 Project Black S was built in collaboration with the Renault F1 team and features an aggressive aerodynamic package and a hybrid engine. The car features 21-inch wheels and a Titanium exhaust.
The car is based on the Q60 Red Sport 400 Version that features a 3.0-litre V6 engine which makes 400bhp. In the Q60 Project Black S concept, the engine is paired with a hybrid system like Formula One cars, which is not found on any other road car.
The Infiniti Q60 Project Black S is expected to make around 500bhp, and the car's hybrid power system will help the car accelerate without any lag.
