Gaurav Gill Wins Third Asia Pacific Rally Championship Title
Gaurav Gill won his third APRC title.
India's Gaurav Gill continued his winning streak by winning the 2017 Asia Pacific Rally Championship title, his third since 2013. The final leg held in Chikmagalur saw Gill led 1-2 finish for Team MRF in the Coffee Day India Rally 2017.
Gill's teammate, Ole Christian Veiby from Norway, was 17min 38.4sec off the title winner. The Coffee Day India Rally 2017 was organized by Motor Sports Club of Chikmagalur, which hosted the fifth and final round of the 2017 APRC.
Gill and co-driver Stephane Prevot of Belgium led Veiby (Stig Rune Skjarmoen) by six points, with both needing a win to take the title. When the 21-year old Norwegian lost time as he suffered mechanical problems yesterday, Gill coasted to another win.
