Eicher Polaris Rolls Out BS IV Multix Variants
Eicher Polaris plans to expand its dealership network to over 150 towns by Q3 of 2017 with the BS IV compliant Multix variants.
Eicher Polaris Pvt. Ltd. (EPPL), a 50:50 joint venture between Eicher Motors Ltd and Polaris Industries Inc. that manufactures the Multix has announced its full compliance with Bharat Stage IV norms, across all its variants.
EPPL has rolled-out its BS-IV compliant vehicles starting March ahead of the Environment Pollution Control Authority's regulation and the deadline of April 1, 2017.
The company launched India's first personal Utility Vehicle (UV) Multix in June 2015 at the plant in Kukas, Jaipur addressing the need to fill a gap in the market as well as to build a new consumer segment in the Indian automobile industry.

Multix is a 3-in-1 personal utility vehicle catering to business, family and power generation needs of an independent businessman residing in tier II and tier III towns. Multix is available in two variants, AX+ and MX priced at Rs 3.19 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh respectively ex-showroom (All India) and in four colours.
The company claims the five-seater Multix has a spacious cabin that can hold luggage as well. The utility can be adapted to create a larger storage space of 1918 litres. In under 3-minutes, the UV can be configured for seating a family to a larger boot space to cater to the business needs of the consumer.
Built through extensive user study, the Multix is equipped with Pro-Ride, independent suspension system, coupled with 170mm ground clearance, delivers unmatched ride experience on all kinds of roads.
The Multix is powered by a 652cc single-cylinder diesel engine powering both the Multix MX and AX+ variants. The engine produces 12.74hp of power and 37Nm of peak torquereturning a mileage of 28.45km/l. The UV has a unique tubular frame structure and roll-over protection system (ROPS) that provides structural stability.
