Daniel Ricciardo To Treat Himself To One Of The Fastest Production Car In The World
F1 Driver Daniel Ricciardo Confirms Ordering Aston Martin Valkyrie.
With the 2017 Formula 1 season coming to an end, the last race of the year at Abu Dhabi was not that great for Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo, as he retired following a hydraulic problem.
However, Ricciardo will surely remember his 2017 visit to the middle eastern city of the United Arab Emirates, because several hours before the start of the race he had the chance and arguably the first people in the world to drive the new 2018 Aston Martin Vantage.
But what we are here to discuss is that hours before the last race of the season Tim from Shmee150 YouTube channel had the chance to chat up with Ricciardo while the latter drove the Vantage. During the discussion, the 28-year-old is buying an example of the new Aston Martin Valkyrie.
To throw some light on the new beast from Aston Martin, the Valkyrie is an F1-inspired, $2.6-million hypercar designed by Adrian Newey and powered by a V12 engine developed by Cosworth coupled with an electric motor.
Although the Valkyrie's Cosworth engine will churn out close to 900bhp, the energy recovery system will lift power to beyond 1,000bhp. The Valkyrie is claimed to reach top speeds of 250mph (402kph), making the hypercar as one of the fastest production cars in the world today.
