Bugatti Chiron Can Hit Insane Speeds With More Advanced Tyres
Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace has stated that the Chiron can hit 480km/h with advanced tyres.
French supercar manufacturer Bugatti’s latest piece of mastery, the Chiron is equipped with a top speed limiter kicking in at 381km/h. But the top speed key on the car can loosen up the limiter and can hit a speed of 420km/h.
But the Chiron is capable of doing more than that. As per Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace, the Chiron can hit over 450km/h with the current production tyres.
Wallace stated that the Michelin engineers would confirm the speed when Bugatti will try to beat the record of world’s fastest production car. The record attempt will take place on Volkswagen Group’s Ehra-Lessien test track.
Wallace also said that the Chiron could surpass the 450km/h barrier with more advanced tyres. If at all the tyre technology will improve in the future, we can hope that the 1,479bhp monster can reach a speed of 483km/h.
