Shell Partners With Hyundai As Global Lubricant Supplier
Shell has partnered with Hyundai, the South Korean automaker to supply lubricants globally. This is a new five-year global business cooperation agreement.
Shell will remain Hyundai's official and recommended lubricant worldwide.
This agreement is a part of Hyundai's effort to maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction for its after sales of products and services.
Shell will supply superior-quality lubricants to Hyundai dealers, and the two companies will collaborate on after sales related marketing initiatives.
Shell will work with Hyundai engineers to develop new lubricant formulations and other technical innovations that Hyundai will need for expanding its range globally.
This partnership will support the company's ongoing efforts to maximize product quality and durability, as well as reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
Apart from consumer use, Hyundai and Shell are partnering on the race track as well. In 2014 Hyundai Motorsport and Shell became technical partners in the FIA World Rally Championships.
The team finished a good 1-2 in Rallye Deutschland, secured podiums in three events in Mexico, Poland and Germany and also took 12 stage wins.
