Scania Revolutionary Buses Showcased At 2015 ICEPT In Delhi

Scania has taken part in International Conference on Public Transport Innovation, which is held in Delhi. At the event the Swedish manufacturer has showcased two revolutionary products.

The Green Bus that runs on ethanol, along with two versions of their premium intercity Metrolink bus were showcased at ICEPT 2015 in Delhi. Scania is keen on launching both products in India soon.

Anders Grundströmer, M.D., Scania India and Senior V.P., Scania Group, said, "It is a very ambitious initiative by ASRTU to host a conference to promote latest trends in public transport services and create awareness on the need for sustainable transport system in India."

He further added, "Scania strives to minimise the environmental impact of their products, both during manufacture and during use. The company does this by taking into account the environmental effects throughout the life cycle of our trucks, buses and engines."

The Swedish manufacturer has been present in India since 2007 and their goal is to provide sustainable transportation a reality. Scania has been using ethanol powered buses in their home for the last 20 years.

ICEPT 2015 is an exhibition that focuses on innovation and vehicle engineering. Several manufacturers showcase their latest technology, vehicular emission control, alternate fuel and much more.
