2016 Paris Motor Show: Ballistic Peugeot 208 WRX World Rally Car Slides Onto The Show Floor
French carmaker Peugeot has showcased its current World Rallycross championship contender at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
Peugeot's World Rallycross challenger is based on the 208 hatchback currently on sale in Europe.
However, the 208 WRX looks a lot more aggressive than its normal city driving compatriot.
However, the looks are where the similarities with road-legal car end.
The 208 WRX uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 540bhp @ 6,000rpm and 850Nm @ 4,500rpm.
The 208 WRX will accelerate from 0–100km/h in just 1.9 seconds which is faster than a Formula 1 car.
The Peugeot 208 WRX is currently the mobile office of 9-time WRC Drivers Championship winner Sebastian Loeb and his teammates in the World Rallycross Championship, where they compete against the likes of Tanner Foust and Ken Block.
