EICMA 2017: Honda CB125R Revealed
Honda CB 125R Revealed At EICMA 2017.
Honda CB125R revealed at EICMA 2017. The Japanese manufacturer has unveiled the CB300R, CB1000R retro-inspired bikes at the Milan Motorcycle Show, and the CB125R is the smallest among them.
The new Honda CB125R is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine derived from the CBR125R, producing 13bhp @10,000rpm and 10Nm of torque @ 8,000rpm, and the engine is housed in a new tubular and pressed steel chassis.
The new Honda CB125R looks like modern cafe racers (as Honda says "Neo Sports Café") with a front LED headlight and a compact dome along with very aggressive the air intake at the side of the tank and a cowl under the engine.
In addition, to make the CB125R even slimmer, the exhaust was placed beneath the pilot's right foot. Honda has not only thought of aesthetics but also the practicality of the new CB125R.
The bike weighs 125.8kg (the tank has a capacity of 10.1-litres) and has a 40-degree steering angle to the right and left, allowing a radius of only 2.3 meters. Also, to accommodate young motorcyclists of all sizes, the CB125R features seat height at 816mm from the ground.
The new Honda CB125R sits on a 41mm upside down fork at the front and a preloaded mono shock absorber. Braking duties at the front are carried out by 296mm floating disc at the front with a four-piston radial caliper and a rear-mounted 220mm disc with a single piston caliper. There is also a lack of 2-channel ABS as standard.
The new CB125R is shod with 110/70 R17 tyres at the front and 150/60 R17 at the rear. Other features include LED lighting and an LCD dash with a rev-counter, fuel gauge, and gear position indicator.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The 2018 Honda CB125R looks sharper and sporty compared to the CBR125R. Honda should bring the new CB125R to India as there is a considerable demand for the entry-level motorcycle.
