TVS Racing Signs Agreement With Their First Woman Rider
TVS Racing signs agreement with their first woman rider - Shreya Sunder Iyer. Shreya will be the first woman rider to be part of any racing team in India.
Shreya, who began riding motorcycles at the age of 17, was also the first Indian woman rider to complete a ride across sand dunes in Dubai. She had also completed various biking expeditions across India.
"We are happy to sign Shreya for the TVS Racing team and believe that her participation will encourage women to consider racing as a career. TVS Racing is strongly committed to promote two wheeler racing in India and generate interest and improve support for the sport in India." said, Arvind Pangaonkar, Head of Team TVS Racing.
Shreya intends to build a career in cross country rallying. This season she will be riding rally prepped Apache RTR 200.
Shreya Said, ""I am proud to be a part of the TVS Racing team. TVS Racing is by far the best Indian racing team with the best motorbikes and trainers. This association will help me work with the best in class machines, racers and technology. I also hope to encourage young bikers, especially women to follow their passion for racing and live their dreams."
Shreya is a graduate from Mount Carmel college and currently works as a freelance designer. She is also a trained classical singer and dancer.
