2014 Hero Xtreme Launched; Price INR 67,364
Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Xtreme 150cc segment at a starting price of INR 67,364 (ex-showroom Pune). The 2014 Xtreme continues to be powered by the same 149.2cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The engine develops 14.4 PS power at 8500 rpm and 12.80 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The new Xtreme is available in black, red, silver, black-red and orange colours.
The new motorcycle has an edgy styling compared to the outgoing model. It also gets new headlamp design, LED taillights, new turn indicator lamps, side stand indicator, under seat mobile charger, a wider rear tyre, engine immobilizer, dual tone silencer and a new instrument cluster with analogue and digital displays.
Hero is offering the new Xtreme is two variants - one with front disc (240mm) brake and rear drum (130mm) brake and the other with front disc (240mm) and rear disc (220mm) brakes. The dual disc brake variant retails for INR 70,678 (ex-showroom Pune).
Hero MotoCorp dealerships are accepting bookings for the new Xtreme at Rs 1,000.
Earlier this year, Hero also showcased a different variant of the motorcycle called Xtreme Sports which will deliver 15.2 bhp and will be launched later this year.
