Mobile Service Van Initiative Launched By Honda
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd is one of the highest selling manufacturers. They want to further penetrate into the Indian market and are taking on new initiatives. They have now launched their unique 'Mobile Service Van' for rural customers.
The Japanese manufacturer explains the new initiative is part of their Wave 2.0 strategy blue-print. The new Mobile Service Van features 3S facility of Sales, Service and Spare parts. It is part of their hub and spoke model for India, targeting remote areas.

Keita Muramatsu, CEO and President, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., explained, "As the only Honda, we are expanding our network into hinterlands. In fact 70% of the approximately 1,000 touch-points that we aim to add this year will be in rural areas."
He further added, "The new Mobile Service Van (MSV) is designed to take Honda one step ahead of even where the reach of its last touch-point ends."

Honda India currently offers affordable motorcycles in the form of its Dream range. The motorcycle is expected to tap into the large commuter segment present in India. The Japanese manufacturer offers Dream Neo, Dream Yuga and CD 110 Dream.
The Japanese manufacturer plans to introduce 11 of its Mobile Service Vans across India within 2014 end. There is sufficient room to display one of the company's motorcycle. They will also provide seating arrangement for customers. The van will also have its own public address system.
The Mobile Service Van will be capable of servicing two motorcycles at a time. Honda will also train local mechanics in the rural area to carry on repair works on their motorcycles. All these will enhance the ownership experience for rural customers.
